Community Engagement

What is really important to Lisa…

“I am foremost a mom and a wife. Family is all that is truly important in life and, for me, it has always been an easy choice – family first.

I have wonderful family in my life. The people I love include my husband Matthew, my son Jason, Matthew’s three amazing children (Ali, Maggie and Tyler), my mom, my sister, my brother, all my aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and now even, our little darling granddaughter Nora!  These are the people that I live for, those near and dear to my heart.

Another enormous part of my life is my absolute devotion to helping those families that are going through the journey of organ transplant. It can be a frightening and enormously difficult journey. After my husband Matthew spent over 300 days in the hospital due to organ failure—and ultimately received a life-saving organ transplant—he and I have dedicated a huge part of our lives to helping these families – the transplant warriors – make it through.”
